Omarosa Flips The Bitch Switch on Talk Show

Just when you thought Omarosa had used up all 15 minutes of fame, she works her way back into the spotlight with a combative appearance on The Wendy Williams Show.

Ostensibly, the onetime Apprentice was just going to talk about her new self-help book, The Bitch Switch. Guess she decided to offer a free demonstration instead.

Kardashian Not Keeping Quiet on Jail Stint

Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian INFphoto.com

It only took Khloe Kardashian four hours and 27 minutes in the Los Angeles penal system to learn one of celebitydom's toughest lessons: When in doubt, hire a driver.

The 24-year-old boutique owner and Keeping Up With the Kardashians star opened up to E! News anchor Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show this morning, divulging the truth about her quickie Friday jail stint, so required after she violated probation on a DUI charge.

For a start, Kardashian said she's "very happy to have all of this behind me and to have learned a very, very good lesson." She then explained that her original bust came about not because of any unchecked wild-child behavior, but because she was mourning the four-year anniversary of the loss of her father, former O.J. Simpson defender Robert Kardashian.

"Everybody deals with it differently, but I have dealt with it the hardest," Kardashian said, adding that "drinking was a way for me to just deal with it." (Listen to the entire interview.)

Record Numbers Hit the Runway Premiere

Project Runway Season 5 Bravo

New York is obviously the place to see and be seen. Well, being Heidi Klum helps with the latter.

Nearly 3 million people tuned in to the fifth-season premiere of Project Runway last night, giving Bravo its largest-ever audience for a series season premiere, according to figures released by the network.

And of the 2.915 million who tuned in for the Peabody Award-winning competition show's last season on Bravo before it heads to Lifetime, a record 1.81 million fell into that oh-so-important 18-49-year-old bracket, the age group most attractive to the advertisers who stick all those annoying commercials in between snips of the scissors.

Emmy 2008 Breakdown: Reality TV

Ryan Seacrest, Howie Mandel, Tom Bergeron, Jeff Probst, Heidi Klum E! Networks, ZumaPress.com, ABC, AP Photo

Talk about a reality check.

It's a generally accepted Emmy truth that The Amazing Race is an unstoppable awards-show juggernaut, destined to crush any and all nominees on its way up to the podium. Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan, on the other hand, apparently not so much.

The globe-trotting emcee, and presumptive shoo-in, was majorly snubbed in the inaugural race for Outstanding Reality-Competition Host when nominations were announced this morning. Instead, American Idol's Ryan Seacrest, Dancing With the Stars' Tom Bergeron, Deal or No Deal's Howie Mandel, Survivor's Jeff Probst and Project Runway's Heidi Klum, the lone female contender, will battle it out in his stead.

CBS Gives Gene Simmons a Jingle

Gene Simmons Johnny Nunez/WireImage.com

Executive producer Mark Burnett was apparently quite impressed with Gene Simmon's impertinent Celebrity Apprentice performance.

The shameless KISS rocker has been tapped to be head judge on the new CBS competition show Jingles, Burnett's latest offering to the remote-wielding masses.

Simmons will preside over a hunt for the best ad jingle for "anything and everything," according to the network's press release. Each week, contestants will be asked to write and perform their own catchy little tunes touting toys, food, beauty products, sports teams, etc.

The winner gets $100,000 and an advertising contract with an as-yet-unannounced firm.

Project Runway Fashions New Crop of Wannabes

Project Runway Season 5 Bravo

Impending jumps to Lifetime, Los Angeles and Marie Claire aside, Bravo is doing its best to ensure that its final New York-set season of Project Runway goes out in style.

Aiming to bring some of the show's signature drama out of the headlines and back to the small screen, the cable net has announced, just two days before the reality show's fifth season premiere, the newest flock of designers and guest judges who will do their best to avoid being auf'd.

In addition to host Heidi Klum, judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia and mentor Tim Gunn, the 16 fierce wannabes will face off against guest judges Natalie Portman, Brooke Shields, LL Cool J, star stylist Rachel Zoe, RuPaul, Apolo Anton Ohno and Sandra Bernhard, as well as big-name designers Diane von Fürstenberg, Cynthia Rowley and Calvin Klein creative director Francisco Costa.

And then, of course, there's the camera-ready crop of contestants.

Big Brother Turns Eye on Fresh Meat

Julie Chen John Filo/CBS

Big Brother is rerooting itself in history.

CBS has announced the cast for the 10th edition of the voyeuristic reality show, a gimmick-free lineup of fresh faces who are purely in it to win it (and perhaps make disparaging remarks about autism, use the N-word or dump iced tea on a housemate's head).

Unlike previous recent seasons, which featured couples, exes, long-lost nemeses and Big Brother "All-Stars," this installment will hearken back to the show's original concept: 13 strangers live together and battle it out for a $500,000 prize.
