Despite a federal court's ruling in July that CBS should not be held responsible for Janet Jackson's Justin Timberlake-assisted Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction, the FCC has asked the Supreme Court to reconsider the finding and reinstate a $550,000 indecency fine on the network.

Over the summer, a Philadelphia court tossed the fine resulting from the now more than four-year-old incident, claiming the FCC was "arbitrary" and "capricious" in deciding to punish the broadcaster.

The pop über-star's Sticky & Sweet tour was made all the more saucy Thursday when long-ago couple Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake joined her onstage—albeit not at the same time.

Spears, clad in black pants, a white tuxedo-style shirt and black heels, shared the spotlight with Madonna on the third song of the night, "Human Nature"—which, incidentally came pretty late in the evening because the show started nearly three hours late.

If there's one thing we can count on from Madonna, it's the making of a little music history now and again.

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake will be performing alongside the Material Girl Thursday when her Sticky & Sweet tour touches down at Dodger Stadium, E! News' Ryan Seacrest has learned.

"They are going to be onstage performing with Madonna," Seacrest said on KIIS-FM host DJ BoyToy Jesse's Wednesday afternoon show.

Of course, while Timberlake and Spears have both collaborated with Madge individually, the exes haven't been spending much quality time together in recent years.

A source tells E! News, "She was recording vocals for the Easy Virtue soundtrack." In the film Biel plays Larita, a devilish American divorcée who marries a naive Englishman.

"We've never publicly endorsed before. But we've never been so inspired by one person," Timberlake told the Las Vegas crowd Saturday at a public rally for Barack Obama, where he and his equally supportive girlfriend took the stage at the Clark County Government Center.

"I'm not here as some dude who writes goofy songs," said the pop stud, in town to helm the PGA's Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, which teed off today. "Me and Jess, we're here as Americans. We're here as humans because this is something we had to do."

In the shorts, Mr. SexyBack himself takes on the role of the fictitious William Rast, who is described as "an accomplished rebel with an edgy sense of style," while his girlfriend Birdie, played by model Erin Wasson, is "a strong woman with an unabashed sense of confidence."

What's more, these characters will be "draped in standout pieces from the fall collection."

Lest we forget that these slick flicks are really nothing more than just stylized commercials.
