O.J. Simpson: Reactions to His Conviction

The ghosts of O.J. Simpson's past are speaking out about his Friday night conviction for double murder armed robbery and kidnapping.

Fred Goldman, who believes O.J. killed his son, Ron, and Nicole Brown Simpson 14 years ago, told CNN his family is "absolutely thrilled to see the potential that he could serve the rest of his life in jail, where the scumbag belongs."

Simpson was acquitted of murder in 1995 but was found liable for their deaths in the 1997 civil suit.

The family of Nicole Brown said in a statement, "Our family would like to thank everyone across the country for their thoughts and prayers as we work through many mixed emotions. Our focus is on the children, Sydney and Justin, whom we deeply love and cherish."

Attorney Marcia Clark, who was on the prosecution team for the so-called Trial of the Century, told Entertainment Tonight, "Having attended the preliminary hearing and followed the Las Vegas case closely, I believe that the evidence did establish Simpson's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt and I am glad to see that justice has finally been served."

And also, Los Angeles attorney Gloria Allred, who represented the Brown family, said, "O.J. Simpson has finally been held accountable. Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman must be smiling."

She added, "O.J Simpson's favorite song was 'If I Only Had a Brain.' If he had a brain, he would not have done what he did in Las Vegas, and he would not have killed Nicole and Ron."
