50 Cent Wants More Time—Any Time—With His Son

50 Cent is technically allowed to see his son, but that doesn't mean he has. Which doesn't mean that he doesn't want to.

The platinum-selling rapper and Shaniqua Tompkins, the very estranged mother of his 11-year-old son Marquise, were in court today to further search for a happy medium that will allow Fiddy to visit with his boy and assuage Tompkins' concerns about her son's safety.

Tompkins secured a temporary restraining order against 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, last month after the Long Island home she and Marquise had been living in burned down.

At the time, she was claiming that he was threatening to evict her from the multimillion-dollar Dix Hills abode—after promising he would put the house in her name—unless she gave him $4,500 for rent.

The "In Da Club" MC denied any involvement in the fire and filed a $20 million defamation suit over the public comments she has made tying him to the blaze. His camp has also a contempt complaint against Tompkins, accusing her of violating a custody order by refusing him any contact at all with Marquise.

"He wants to see his son," Fiddy attorney Brett Kimmel told Newsday outside the Central Islip courthouse.

"She wants Marquise to have access with his father, but with safety precautions in place," countered Tompkins' attorney, Paul Catsandonis.

Family Court Judge David Freundlich will now consider whether to continue or quash Tompkins' order of protection as well as 50 Cent's petition to enforce his visitation rights.
